Using AI Plaza Workbench
Open Translate, Docs, Spreadsheet, Draft, Agent, Code, or Deepthink beside chat. Learn how each Workbench mode saves time, plus edit assistance on Draft, Code, and Spreadsheet.

Quick steps
Step 1. Open Workbench
In Chat, use the empty-state shortcuts or the Workbench menu next to the composer to open a mode.
Step 2. Pick a mode for the job
Translate for bilingual review, Docs for PDF/Word, Spreadsheet for grids, Draft for long documents, Agent for scheduled cloud tasks, or Code for patches.
Step 3. Take the result forward
Copy, Insert into chat, Open in Draft, or Accept pending edits — keep the output without re-pasting across apps.
Using AI Plaza Workbench
Workbench opens a specialized panel beside chat so you can finish office work without juggling extra apps. It is not the same as scenario Tools or Gems.

How to open a mode
- Go to Chat.
- On an empty thread, tap a Workbench shortcut — or open the Workbench menu on the composer.
- Work in the right-hand panel while you keep chatting.
Take results forward
Depending on the mode you will see Copy, Insert into chat, Open in Draft, or Accept for pending edits. That is how Workbench saves time: the output stays in a panel you can keep using.
Edit assistance (not a separate mode)
When Draft, Code, or Spreadsheet is open, chat can read the panel and propose edits. Changes stay pending until you Accept (or enable Auto-apply). See also Tool Agent for Code, Spreadsheet, and Draft.

Frequently asked questions
- Is Workbench the same as Tools or Gems?
- No. Tools are 150+ scenario prompt templates. Gems are saved custom assistants. Workbench opens specialized panels beside the same chat thread.
- What is edit assistance?
- When Draft, Code, or Spreadsheet is open, chat can read the panel and propose edits. Changes stay pending until you Accept, unless Auto-apply is on.
- Who can use Agent?
- Any signed-in account can use Agent when the Agent (Work Agent) feature flag is enabled for the deployment.
